2022: The Year of Real Estate Exponential Growth

In Mumbai, the demand for real estate grew steadily and unabatedly in 2021 notwithstanding COVID-19. Even though the new releases were put on hold, the older projects were completed and the company's distinctive marketing strategy was successful.

Given the strong market response and the nearly complete sales of all projects, it would be fair to predict that 2022 will be a year of dominance for purchasers. There are numerous projects that were delayed by COVID-19 and are finally being finished up. The running ticket size of the Buyers and the sweet spot have been noted by the Builders on the other side.

The Real Estate Market has been boosted as a result of the Redevelopment Projects. The two main categories of redevelopment initiatives are:

1. Slum redevelopment has resulted in a significant increase of supply in the market. Slums have been razed and enormous tracts of land have been taken over to build larger societies.

2. Older buildings are being renovated, which results in them becoming taller and larger and increasing the number of people who can live in each structure.

The reconstruction projects will also cause a boom in the rental market because tenants who previously resided in buildings that underwent redevelopment would need new homes, most likely on a rental basis. Additionally, the office constraints are becoming less onerous, freeing the offices to resume Work from Office mode.

Additionally, the government has listed a number of advantages for redevelopment projects. Overall, Mumbai real estate is expected to have a strong year in 2022.
